The Canon PowerShot Pro 1 delivers AVI files with 15 frames per second and sound of 11K samples per second. In order for this to work with cinelerra or cinecutie I prefer to convert it to MPEG as follows:
Convert AVI from Canon to MPG for Cinelerra
ffmpeg -i MVI_nnnn.AVI -r 30 -ar 22050 -sameq MVI_nnnn.mpg
The -r 30 is because 15 f/s is not allowed in mpeg.
Even if you do not edit your clip, it is still advisable to do something about the present format. The reason being that some players have problems with the low audio sample rate. |
